Biden-Harris Administration to Announce New Resources to Address Legacy Pollution in Tribal Communities as Part of the President’s Investing in America Agenda

On Thursday, September 21, Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Bryan Newland and Senior Advisor and Infrastructure Coordinator Winnie Stachelberg will host a press call to announce new investments from President Biden’s Investing in America agenda that will help address legacy pollution and create good-paying jobs plugging orphaned oil and gas wells on Tribal lands.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is delivering the largest investment in tackling legacy pollution in American history, including through a $4.7 billion investment to plug orphaned oil and gas wells.
