Please check out this United Tribe Technical College flier if you are interested in training to become an energy auditor. The United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, N.D. has an application deadline of Dec. 4, 2009. The training lasts about four months. And it’s free. And a stipend is also available to successful candidates. What is an energy auditor? It’s a skill that calls for the monitoring of energy use in a home or building. The goal is to find the most cost effective ways of using energy.  As full-time energy consumers, it behooves all of us to become more aware of the energy efficiency of our homes. Do yourself and your community a favor and learn a skill that could lead to greater energy-use efficiency. The flier has a phone number to call if you have any questions.
