Hello Readers:
It’s a beautiful day here in Missoula, Mont., on a Monday morning. I’m taking a few minutes to offer a bit of an apology for the light posting over the last week. I haven’t had a summer off in about 20 years. And I’m doing many things I’ve only thought about in the past years. And this week, well, I won’t be posting at all. A prior commitment will have me away from my computer until at least July 27. Meanwhile, I fully expect the Buffalo’s Fire blog to be a source of information in coming weeks on matters related to Indian Country and land issues. I’ll soon be back into a regular schedule of news gathering and sharing once I start circulating on the University of Montana campus in August for fall courses. And then there will be information to share on updates on the Elouise Cobell case, the subject of my in-progress book project. And, I’ll also have more news on language programs. The Fort Belknap College has some great stories about language revitalization that other people will be interested in. .
As for now, I hope everyone enjoys the days of summer!
